The largest installation on the island is the airport. It is about the only paved surface on the island. For a small island, the airport is huge. The island also has two stores which stock food, cloths, hardware and just about anything else you can need.  There are two places to eat, one power plant and a few small businesses. There is also an elementary and a high school on the island.  Oh, don't forget the phone and cable companies.

 A real change for me, was in the way the people greeted me. On a small island, everyone knows everyone else and of course greets their friends. Every where I went there were people saying hello and waving to me, someone they had probably never even heard about.  It definitely is a close and friendly community.
